Onix is very proud of two members of the Onix team. Koen Looman and Joost Maatkamp, together with Olaf Janson (formerly Onix) and Rens Wijnakker won the second prize in Europan 11. Europan is a European competition for young designers. Every two years Europan is organized in many countries, these countries have selected seventy locations in total for which a design can be made.
In the Netherlands, six sites for Europan 11 are available, in Almere, Amsterdam, Capelle aan den IJssel, Deventer, Eindhoven and Leeuwarden. The theme of Europan 11 was: The resonance areas and lifestyles. With this theme in mind, Joost, Koen, Olaf and Rens made a plan for the location in Almere titled Envisioning Baucis.
